We're getting ourselves ready for yet another "adventure", this time we are touring the west side of Cuba. As you know, Cuba is the largest island in the Caribbean and has been on non-speaking terms with the USA for 50+ years, but we heard just before Christmas that relations were beginning to thaw and therefore decided to visit this island as quickly as possible before the inevitable changes "improve" the island too much.
We start off with a couple of days in New Havana before heading west to Viñales in the Pinar del Rio province which we're led believe is a beautiful region with the most flora and fauna. Then it's back to Old Havana and a loop to the right, culminating in 3 days R&R at the beach resort of Varadero.
