A fairly good run to Gatwick
with the usual slow traffic through Clacket Lane Services and now we're sitting
in No.1 Traveller Lounge and wishing it was the BA Lounge!! The bacon
butty was pretty inedible but it's fairly peaceful, there's internet access and
we have another 1 1/2 hours to wait before boarding. That's the trouble
with a mid morning flight, you're travelling in the rush hour so have to leave
at silly o'clock just in case. And we whizzed through airport security in
seconds (one of the Premium Economy benefits).
We are also sitting
"upstairs" on the plane which we've never done before. There
doesn't appear to be many seats up there and I'm just worried it'll be like
being in a loft with a very low ceiling.
From what we can gather the weather
in Havana is rain - Ian being an eternal optimist thinks it's only showers but
we've packed brollies just in case. Unlike our last trip which was an
overnight flight and we had to hit the ground running, we arrive about 16:30
local time and just go to the hotel.
