On our way back from last night after dinner, we noticed this
little fella sitting on top of the chalet door.
There are coach lights on each door and we presume he was sitting there
patiently waited for insects to fly to the light.
This morning I got up before dawn and went to the edge of the property to watch the sunrise, it was breathtakingly beautiful and once again the pictures don’t do it justice.
After breakfast we loaded on to the coach again and headed east back to Havana. Once again I couldn't resist snapping out of the coach window but the quality is poor.
Our first stop was Pinar del Rio to visit a cigar factory but as no photos were allowed in there, I opted to wander around the town for an half an hour. Alex the guide didn't really understand why I wanted to photograph daily life and its true there wasn't a lot to see but I found it interesting and the buildings are beautiful even in such a small country town.
The local buses are certainly crowded.
From there we went to a rum factory, again not a great deal of interest to photograph.
And then on to an
Orchid Garden which supposedly had 700+ different species so my mouth was
watering as we drew up. Sadly we only
saw about 30 types and the wind was quite strong which made photographing them rather
challenging.
